Director of Periodontics

Overview


Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Education, the Director of Periodontics at the Touro College of Dental Medicine will have the responsibility to initiate and guide student doctor/patient interaction and assist in transition to clinical practice as it pertains to periodontal dentistry.


Responsibilities


+ Monitor treatment planning, progress, and performance.

+ Model and advise students on professionalism and patient management techniques

+ Assist the Patient Care Coordinators in solving patient related problems

+ Review each student's performance in the periodontal clinic on a regular basis.,

+ Assists students to establish and reach patient treatment goals.

+ Determine individual student needs and related time utilization.

+ Assist Students in rendering care to patients

+ Demonstrate procedures to students as needed.

+ Report instances of misconduc...
