Job Description
Lead the future development of the Town of High Level as its Director of Planning and Development Services. Drive strategic initiatives in housing, downtown revitalization, and community engagement while guiding regulatory processes.
Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, this pivotal role oversees municipal planning and development functions. As a key leader, you will provide guidance on land use regulations, development approvals, and work closely with external consultants. Your expertise will shape impactful community planning and land use policies that align with Council’s vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Municipal Development Plans and Land Use Bylaws
• Review applications for development permits and subdivisions
• Lead public engagement activities on planning initiatives
• Mentor and supervise planning department staff
• Manage agreements with developers for land leasing
