**Job Summary**

Implements procurement initiatives to optimize Walgreens' cost of goods for generic pharmaceutical products. Provides strategy and execution on high-priority initiatives focused on evaluating, creating, implementing, and refining opportunities to optimize supply and service cost of goods (COGs) through procurement. Builds external partnerships and develops tools and processes to enhance profitability, ensuring alignment with Walgreen strategies.

**Job Responsibilities**

+ Owns, oversees, and maximizes pharmacy supply chain relationships with Amerisource Bergen and other pharmaceutical wholesalers, including any supply issue, contractual disputes and discussions, daily and strategic operational points, recommendation and approval oversight of financial payments and fees associated with aspects of the wholesaler agreements.
