Distribution Center Supervisor

**Overview**



The position is responsible for scheduling transportation for outbound shipments, managing and maintaining the distribution center’s inventory. Supervise direct and indirect employees to meet established distribution schedules. Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and communication standards, along with controlling costs. Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**



+ Ensure shipments are properly loaded and meet all customer, DOT and EPA requirements; to include handling of hazardous waste.

+ Communicate with plant management and corporate transportation agents to maintain OTD and complete customer satisfaction.

+ Contact all customers, carrier, or other outside businesses as needed.

+ Recognize, recommend compliance procedures, and enforce safety and EPA issues.
