Responsibilities Serves as the Deputy Commander, DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan, is the senior civilian and a full participant in managing and leading the distribution center. Plans and organizes overall logistics programs and directs warehousing and distribution functions in support of customers geographically dispersed throughout the Area of Responsibility (AOR). Serves as the primary distribution center level technical authority on distribution operations, programs and processes and interprets higher level guidance. Develops local operating instructions and policies and serves as chief advisor to the Commander. Serves as the principal technical authority for all distribution operations, programs, and processes.
