DISTRICT ATTENDANCE OFFICER

Job Goal

The District Attendance Officer focuses on monitoring and promoting regular school attendance. The efforts of this position aim to minimize absenteeism by identifying patterns, addressing concerns and implementing strategies that encourage consistent student presence.Under the direction of the Director of Operations, it also requires working closely with the Teacher Coordinator of School Improvement to ensure all stake holders understand and work collaboratively with school-wide student attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred; college-level coursework in human behavior, child development, or related fields desirable.
• Holds and maintains a valid New Jersey driver's license.
• Experience working in a multicultural urban environment.
• Knowledge of state student attendance laws, child welfare regulations and compulsory education laws and regulations.
