Doctoral student in characterisation of battery electrolytes
Academic PositionsJob Description
Project description
Third-cycle subject: Chemical engineering
The mass transport in battery electrolytes affects key battery properties, such as how fast they can be charged and discharged, and how they age. Models that describe the electrolyte's transport properties are therefore important tools in the development and understanding of batteries. The aim of this project is to further develop methods and models so that they can more easily and accurately handle complex battery electrolytes with many components. The project will use a combination of experimental methods and calculations of electrolyte properties at the molecular level to describe the macroscopic electrolyte properties used in battery models. The project is carried out in close collaboration with companies.
Supervision: Göran Lindbergh is proposed to supervise the doctoral student. Henrik Ekström and Rakel Wreland Lindström are proposed to co-supervise the doctoral student....
