Summary The incumbent serves as a Document Analyst - Firearm and Toolmark Examiner (NFEA Laboratory Coordinator) within the Office of Science and Technology, Forensic Services Division, Laboratory Services Branch, Forensic Crime Gun Intelligence Laboratory in Wichita, KS. The laboratories provide highly technical and scientific services in support of the Bureau's primary law enforcement missions. Responsibilities The major duties of the Document Analyst - Firearm and Toolmark Examiner (NFEA Laboratory Coordinator) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Functions as a leading technical expert in firearm and toolmark examination as National Firearms Examiner Academy (NFEA) Laboratory Coordinator, providing expert advice and assistance to ATF officials, other federal agencies, state and local government organizations, private laboratories, and industry.
