Project Overview

The Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Program involves designing and building a new deep‑water intake in Lake Ontario to improve the plant's cooling system.

• 1.5 km‑long tunnel, built by a pressurized TBM (10.15 m diameter slurry TBM)
• Two vertical shafts (onshore and offshore)
• An offshore modular intake structure resting on the lake bed

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements.
• Draw site installations with logistics and liftings operations.
• Prepare drawings for utilities, traffic, and dewatering.
• Create temporary works drawings with formwork.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and correspond to project requirements.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and changes in scope.
