Dublin Bay Cruises Seeks Captain for HVO-Powered St Bridget

Dublin Bay Cruises are seeking a captain for their vessel St Bridget from March 2026.

The St Bridget is a 27-meter steel hull vessel with capacity to carry 96 passengers and four crew.

It operates seven cruises in Dublin Bay linking Dublin Port with Howth and Dun Laoghaire Harbours in a season that runs from March to October.

The St Bridget is fully licensed by the Irish Marine Survey Office to the highest international safety standards.

And as previously reported on Afloat.ie, the vessel has been converted to run on hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO), making Dublin Bay Cruises Ireland’s first sea-based domestic operator to use the sustainable fuel.

For the successful candidate, Dublin Bay Cruises is offering a flexible monthly rota with salary negotiable.
