Ecommerce Backend Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring a Mid-Level Ecommerce Backend Engineer to help build the core revenue engine of our platform. This role sits inside our Core Product Build Organization, the company's highest-priority initiative.

You'll work on payments, checkout flows, idempotency, and transactional systems where correctness matters more than speed alone. This is a high-impact role focused on building foundational systems once, and correctly, to support long-term scale.

What You'll Do

• Implement backend services that power payments, checkout, and transactional workflows
• Build idempotent, high-reliability systems to ensure financial accuracy
• Contribute to a multi-tenant backend architecture with strict data isolation
• Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) according to established patterns
• Work closely with senior engineers and tech leads to execute against locked architecture
