The Opportunity

Grafton Base Hospital is a rural community hospital providing acute medical, surgical, orthopaedic, paediatric, anaesthetic, geriatric, obstetric and maternity, intensive and critical care, renal, oncology, palliative care, emergency, some specialist outpatient services and day surgery facilities to the people of the Clarence Valley. This busy ED is staffed by a highly qualified medical team of Career Medical Officers, Emergency Specialists, and Nursing staff providing care to patients of all ages with critical and acute illness.

* Bed Numbers: 10 beds

* Resus: 2 beds

• Shift times:

o In-charge shifts: 0700hrs to 1730hrs, 1400hrs to 0000hrs, 2215hrs to 0815hrs

o JMO shifts: 0700hrs to 1530hrs, 1500hrs to 2330hrs, 0000hrs to 0800hrs (shared with Gen Med)

o Fast Track shifts: 0730hrs to 1600hrs; 1400hrs to 2230hrs

o Swing shift: 1200hrs to 2030hrs
