Education Assistant On-Call

EDUCATION ASSISTANT ON-CALL Terms of Employment:All instructional days, September through June KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 1. Secondary school graduation or equivalent 2. Education Assistant Certification or equivalent in related field or equivalent experience working with individuals with disabilities, behaviour disorders, learning and physical disabilities, syndromes and disorders that affect the learning of students 3. Minimum three (3) months of experience working with children 4. Knowledge and understanding of child development 5. Familiarity with Individual Education Plans and Individual Care Plans an asset 6. Ability to implement modified and adapted curriculum 7. Basic computer skills with ability to read and form emails, view word/excel documents, navigate internet and use web-based applications 8.
