Electrical Design Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs electrical design work including researching data, conducting feasibility and economic studies, and determining design criteria in accordance with required standards and codes for assigned projects.
2. Designs and implements cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput.
3. Develops a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines.
4. Develops and evaluates theoretical electrical designs.
5. Encoding/detailing all the materials necessary for the contract to achieve specification;
6. Estimating the cost of plant and equipment;
7. Calculating a final figure for the estimated cost, supplemented by adjustments for overheads and profit, and presenting a tender price;
8. Discuss and solve complex problems with Japanese advisers, project sites, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers;
