Job Description
Main job:
Support electricians and engineers installing electrical systems on an Energy-from-Waste (EfW) plant new build, learning and improving skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist electricians: Cable pulling, conduit bending, fixing equipment
2. Wiring & testing: Help with wiring, labelling, and basic testing
3. Safety: Follow site rules, wear PPE, report hazards
4. Learning: Pick up skills, ask questions, and improve
5. Teamwork: Work with electrical team, engineers, and other trades
Requirements – UK 2026
- Quals: Electrical apprenticeship (Level 2/3) or equiv.
- Experience: 1-2 years in electrical construction
- Skills: Basic tools, manual handling, keen to learn
- Certs: CSCS card (labourer or trainee)
Typical Day
- AM: Briefing, PPE check
- Work: Wiring, testing, tidy
- PM: Report issues, feedback
