Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • A National Diploma or a BTech in Electrical Engineering is essential for the role. Relevant OHSA and regs exam (Pass) by the commission of examiners with 2 years’ experience, as required by the OHS Act for GMR 2.1 appointment is essential.

  • A Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) Factories is preferred for this role but not essential.

  • The successful candidate must be a qualified electrician registered with the Department of Labour and authorised to issue Certificates of Compliance (CoCs) for electrical installations, in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and SANS .

  • Must satisfy the competence requirements for appointment as a GMR 2.1 (general machinery regulation) appointee for electrical installations in the 0–0 kVA range, as stipulated by the OHS Act and relevant regulations.
