Key Layout Responsibilities

• Blueprint Interpretation & Sketching: Creating detailed sketches or using CAD software to map out where wiring, conduits, and panels will go.
• Load Calculation: Calculating the total amperage requirements for a building to determine the correct size for the service panel and circuit breakers.
• Conduit Routing: Strategically planning the runs of pipes through walls and floors to minimize material waste and ensure future accessibility.
• Component Placement: Deciding the exact height and location of outlets, switches, and junction boxes based on both ergonomics and strict safety codes ( distance from water sources).
• Material Estimating: Preparing a Take-Off list—an exact count of wire footage, conduit lengths, and hardware needed before the job starts.
