Electronic Technician

We are looking for an Electronic Technician to analyse, build, modify, test, repair, and maintain electronic circuits and circuit board assemblies, including inventory management and equipment maintenance.

• Drafting schematics and PCB layouts in CAD
• Specify and order components for a Bill of Materials
• Solder and assemble (through-hole and SMT)
• Test, fault-find, and repair
• Program and debug embedded microcontrollers
• Set up experimental tests / perform failure analysis and provide simple reports of findings
• Maintain the electronics laboratory
• Order components to maintain stock levels
• Acquire a base technical understanding of CBI products
• NDip or BTech with a focus on electronics (light current)
• 1–5 years’ experience in basic electronics design, assembly, and testing
• Experience in a design environment / working on projects
