Weapons Propulsion Group, within Defence Science and Technology Group (DST Group), conducts research and provides advice on weapon propulsion technologies to enhance Defence capability.

The Group maintains expertise in areas of weapon propulsion systems and technology, gun and rocket propellants, and rocket motor surveillance and lifing.

The Firing Facility is operated by a small team with the group who design, manufacture and maintain the instrumentation and computing infrastructure in a standalone network environment.
