Job Summary: Performs basic duties to all age patients in the Emergency Department under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.

Job Responsibilities:

• Uses effective communication skills with patients, staff, other departments, physicians, families and visitors.
• Provides age-appropriate and population specific patient care in a safe, skillful, accurate and efficient manner to newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Duties may include but not limited to phlebotomy, transporting patients, obtain vital signs, ekg's, splinting, catheter placement and other patient care task as assigned.
• Supports patient's rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural and religious diversity.
