Northern Health is seeking locum physicians to work at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) Emergency Department in Prince George, British Columbia’s Northern Capital.

Shift & Compensation

1–4 week locum opportunities are available with cascading shifts including mornings and afternoons; nights are optional.

For EM trained physicians, rates vary from $1,930 (for a weekday workload shift) to $3,394 (for a weekend overnight shift) including RRP and after‑hours premiums. Travel and accommodation supports are in place to fund your visit for locums of five shifts or more.

Facility and Education

UHNBC is a Level 3 trauma centre that sees approximately 47,000 emergency room visits per year and has double physician coverage 24/7.
