Emergency Room Physician -Dept of Emergency Medicine- Full Time & Locum Available

Position Summary

Emergency Room physician is expected to work scheduled shifts in the Emergency Department, based on the governance of the Alternative Funding Agreement signed between the Ministry of Health and the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Emergency Room Group. The Emergency Room physician is expected to see patients presenting to the Emergency Room and functions as Most Responsible Physician.

OSMH qualifies for ED Mentorship Program through the Ministry of Health.

Primary Responsibilities

• On-Call

  • Provision of Emergency Department on-call.
  • Participation in any future regional Emergency on-call service.

• In-Patient

  • The ER physician is expected to attend codes within the hospital environment.
• Participation in strategic planning and program development of Emergency services.
