Energy Storage Research Intern

The Explore Coalition is looking for a hands-on Research Assistant Intern to work on-site at our laboratory. This role is designed to provide direct support to our Senior Engineer in the development of high-performance Aluminum-Ion batteries. You will be a key part of the daily operations, ensuring our experiments run smoothly and our data is organized.

Core Responsibilities

Laboratory & Technical Support

• On-Site Synthesis: Assist the Senior Engineer with the hydrothermal synthesis and electrochemical deposition of battery materials.
• Material Processing: Handle the manual tasks of vacuum filtration, rinsing, and drying of chemical samples.
• Equipment Setup: Prepare the muffle furnace for calcination and set up the three-electrode cells for battery testing.
• Sample Preparation: Clean FTO glass substrates using ultrasonication in preparation for film deposition.
