Engine Technician

Description

+ Mechanical swapping of engine components working hand in hand with engineers to test different combinations of engine for optimum performance

+ Will work in laboratory setting using AVL/PUMA and emissions equipment

+ Will work on engine tuning and calibration using software such as HP Tuners or standalone systems

+ Will run and operate manual testing on a dyno

+ Will work with a Test Engineer to manipulate fuel tables, air-intake, spark and exhaust to find optimum performance on test engines

+ Will do work at the component level including components like oil pumps, head or cam changes, fuel injectors, spark plugs - almost anything.

+ Assembly/Modification and/or Fabrication to existing Engines to prep for testing

+ Fabricate components on engine and test stand/dynos for testing

+ Instrumentations between the engine and they dyno

+ TIG Weld parts and components
