JOB DESCRIPTION – The Production Engineer is responsible for providing best-in-class live television production support for NBCU, supporting live and scripted/unscripted productions. This position will also support the projects team, where and as required, to implement changes, enhancements, and system upgrades.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and support maintenance of a broadcast production environment consisting of multiple studios and production control rooms.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in routing, audio, video, intercom, graphics, replay, ingest, and IP/streaming systems during live and recorded productions.
Support hybrid SDI/IP infrastructures including SMPTE 2110 concepts, multicast, VLANs, and PTP under the guidance of senior engineers.
Operate and monitor virtualized systems (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud-enabled production workflows as directed.
