Engineer/ Senior Engineer (Traffic Systems)

About the role

As the Engineer/Senior Engineer (Traffic Systems) you will join the Transport and Traffic team and take responsibility for the operational management of the city's intelligent transport systems.  Your main focus will be ensuring the safe, efficient and future ready planning and operation of Ipswich's transport network through the delivery and optimisation of intelligent transport system solutions.  

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Actively monitor the city's intelligent transport systems undertaking modifications and enhancements for improving the safety and performance of the city's road network
• Identify, scope and delivery intelligent transport system projects
• Investigate and resolve enquiries such as traffic signals, parking management system and other ITS technologies
