Responsibility
As a specialist engineer, your primary purpose and mission is to support the department to deliver reliable railway infrastructure for safe and effective passenger service through
engineering studies of peculiar defects
analysis of defect trending to identify anomalies
develop and proposed engineering solutions when required.
Align to the company Safety & Health, Security and Asset Management policies and apply these principles in all rail defect analysis and engineering activities.
• Align to our department Vision, Mission and Core Values
• Understand our department maintenance plans,
• Participate in night work, site inspections and emergency recovery activities when necessary to support rail defect investigation, engineering assessment and post-incident analysis.
• Achieve operational understanding of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) Works and their impact on rail defect initiation, propagation and recurrence.
