Position: Engineering Assistant

Number of hours: 20 hours/week

Schedule: North Carolina Timezone (EST)

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to provide technical and documentation support for ongoing engineering projects. You’ll work closely with the Founder/Engineer to prepare drawings, diagrams, and organized documentation that ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit 2D drawings using AutoCAD
• Prepare diagrams and layouts in Microsoft Visio (or similar tools)
• Assist with developing cutsheets, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Organize and maintain engineering documentation and project files
• Conduct light technical research, such as identifying alternative components or suppliers
• Support the engineering team with other documentation or technical tasks as assigned
