Purpose of Role

The TMM Specialist Foreman fulfils a tactical guidance role to oversee subordinates, providing guidance and support to carry out maintenance and repair requirements on UG TMM Fleet in the workplace and apply a best practice approach to equipment maintenance and repairs within the specific area of responsibility

Role Context

Operational Management

• Oversee contractors, coordinate, and carry out proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs in the workplace to ensure equipment availability and safe production continuity and legal compliance.


• Legal responsibility in terms of 2.9.2 appointment of the MHSA.


• Warranty repair procedure


• Working knowledge of implementing maintenance strategies and root cause analysis and RCM principles.


• Working knowledge of SHEQ standards and legislation.
