Engineering Maintenance Asst. Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ensures the compliance of the company with government and non-government related rules and regulations - national, international, local, community-based and customer specific legal requirements.
• Recommends controls needed for the elimination or mitigation of any incident that may cause pollution to the environment.
• Monitors and implements proper storage and disposal of hazardous waste generated by the company.
• Handles all environmental matters required by the legal laws/standards upon the approval of the Director.
• Maintain liaison with the city / provincial / municipal or local Pollution Control Officers.
• Attend the meetings for Pollution Control Officers w/c may from time to time be called by the Department.
