ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Summary You will serve as a Engineering Technician (RMMCO/Alt Coord) in the Waterfront Operations Department of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA. Responsibilities You will review contractor engineering work that can involve multiple engineering disciplines and frequent changes in design or other engineering requirements. You will maintain business relationships with organizations or individuals to coordinate repair, alterations, or modifications of naval ship systems. You will participate in meetings (e.g., engineering and planning) to coordinate work schedules. You will act as the Naval Supervising Activity's (NSA) representative overseeing the planning and executing of alterations accomplished when FDRMC Det. Rota is the NSA. You will provide industrial, engineering, technical, and contractor oversights services for maintenance and the modernization of ships visiting or ported.
