ENT Senior Clinical Fellow

Responsibilities

• Inpatient care : Providing medical management for all ENT patients at the John Radcliffe/Churchill Hospital.
• Emergency ENT service : Including registrar on‑call bleep, providing support to on‑call SHOs, and managing referrals internally from A&E and other wards and externally from primary care and referring hospitals; assessing and managing patients on the GP Referral Unit (acute ENT referrals).
• Outpatient care : Regular ENT clinic based on the sub‑specialty firm you are working for; supporting Foundation doctors, GP trainees and clinical fellows in running emergency clinics.
• Theatre : Approximately two whole days of theatres per week for improving surgical skills under consultant supervision; opportunities to be involved in specialist outpatient clinics, ENT operating lists, departmental teaching sessions, clinical governance meetings, audit, research and quality improvement, and medical s...
