Environmental Geochemist

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Geochemist to take on a key role within our national environmental team to support mining and industrial clientele.

With us, you’ll get the opportunity to contribute to geochemical characterization, water quality considerations and mine site remediation within a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing and supervising geochemical characterization studies (ore, tailings, or mine waste rock) and contributing to closure planning
• Assessing the acid rock drainage (ARD) and neutral drainage potential, along with contaminant leaching risks
• Predicting water quality from mine tailings storage facilities
• Defining acceptable mine tailings management methods to prevent or mitigate impacts on water quality and the environment
