Environmental Intern – Planning & Environment

Full-Time, One Year Term Contract

The Town of Banff is seeking candidates for a 1-year Environmental Intern role to support implementation of the Town’s Environmental Master Plan, which encompasses topics related to ecosystems, emissions/energy, waste, water, air, and sustainable transportation.

As a global tourism destination community inside Banff National Park and the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site, the Town of Banff strives to be a global environmental leader and model environmental community. Banff Council has set ambitious goals related to our Environmental Master Plan including 70% waste diversion by 2028 and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030. We also aim to eliminate human-wildlife conflicts in our community, while protecting sensitive species and ecosystems within, and adjacent to the town site.
