Environmental Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for an Environmental Officer to oversee and ensure compliance with Malaysian environmental regulations and project environmental requirements during construction works. The role focuses on environmental monitoring, waste management, and site compliance for electrical construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DOE (JAS) regulations, Environmental Quality Act, and project EMP requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections and environmental monitoring
• Manage waste segregation, scheduled waste, and proper disposal
• Monitor environmental impacts related to electrical works (oil, chemicals, cables, batteries, noise, dust)
• Prepare environmental reports and maintain site records
• Liaise with main contractor, consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Conduct environmental toolbox talks and awareness sessions for site workers
