In November of 2025, New York University formally established the new Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science. Uniting the three academic departments allows faculty to focus educational programming and maximize research efforts. The Courant School is located in the heart of New York City—an international hub of technology, education, finance, and healthcare—which gives our community exclusive access to academia and industry.



The Center for Data Science (CDS), a department within the Courant Institute School welcomes researchers across a wide range of domains who will conduct deep and impactful research and contribute to the creative growth of the Courant Institute School community.
