Equipment Mechanic

**Job Overview:**

Inspect, service, and repairs motorized power equipment, pressure washers, lawnmower motors, etc. Uses mechanic hand tools and electric test equipment. Follows manufacturers’ diagrams to troubleshoot and repair small engines. Examines small engines during to determine cause of malfunction, excess vibration, overheating, fluid leak, or loose parts. Adjusts, calibrates gas regulators and airflow valves. Replaces worn or defective parts, such as switches, pumps, bearings, belts, gears, blowers, and defective wiring. Reassembles small engines, adjusts belts. Lubricates moving parts.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**

+ Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans and work performed with customers.
+ Performs routine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs.
+ Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts.
