Equity Long/Short Portfolio Manager

A leading global hedge fund is seeking an experienced fundamental equity long/short portfolio manager to run a classic fundamental equity long/short mandate across APAC markets.

Responsibilities

• Build and actively manage a concentrated, high-Sharpe equity long/short book.
• Generate consistent alpha on both the long and short side through bottom-up fundamental research, variant perception, and catalyst-driven ideas.
• Take meaningful single-name and situational risk where asymmetry is clear.
• Present positioning, performance, and new ideas regularly to senior management and risk.
• Collaborate with central research, quant, data‑science, and execution teams while retaining complete discretion on the book.
• Mentor junior analysts.
