Estimator

A well-established Mechanical Services contractor in Sydney is seeking an HVAC Estimator to join their team.

Reporting directly to the Director, this is a sole-charge position offering autonomy, responsibility and long-term stability. You will be involved in both estimating and procurement across commercial high-rise projects ranging from $100k to $10M.

Mechanical HVAC scope only. Design is subcontracted. All estimating is completed in Excel.

The Role

• Prepare accurate HVAC cost estimates from drawings independently
• Complete detailed take-offs using Excel
• Break down tenders and issue packages to suppliers and specialist subcontractors
• Manage procurement of major plant and equipment
• Issue purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers
• Assist with scope reviews and identify contract gaps
• Support project handover to delivery teams
• Liaise with subcontractors and internal stakeholders
