Estimator / Cost Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Cost Estimation & Project Bidding

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Analyze plans, technical documents, and scope of work.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations.
• Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns.
• Assist in preparation of bid proposals and tender documents.

2. Cost Control & Monitoring

• Monitor project costs versus approved budget.
• Track material usage, labor costs, and equipment expenses.
• Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare cost reports and financial updates for management.

3. Project Coordination

• Coordinate with project engineers, procurement team, and site personnel.
