Estimator with 10+ years experience required

Channel Construction was founded over 20 years ago as a medium to heavy fabricator and erector of structural steel.

The Estimator is required to nest materials and prepare accurate estimates by identifying material needed based on drawings and specifications supplied by the client. The successful candidate should have at least 10 years experience in the steel fabrication industry.

Duties:

• Prepare detailed estimates and backup documentation for review.
• Meet quote submittal dates/times as requested by customers.
• Identify material and equipment needs and costs based on drawings and specifications.
• Contact suppliers and distributors to establish a reasonable estimate for materials & supplies.
• Have the ability to analyze, compare and interpret detailed drawings.
• Identify miscellaneous material pertaining to the enquiry.
• Quality - demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. ...
