Events Lead (Volunteer)

Reports to: Denika Poppen, VP, External Relations

Period: 1 Year Term (with option for renewal)

Position Overview

Working closely with the VP, External Relations, this role is responsible for the delivery of high‑quality events that enhance the Joule community, advance professional development, and support the Joule mission of “changing the face of energy”.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Joule events (annual Awards Celebration, Global Energy Show Dinner, Stampede, Holiday, etc.): Lead the end‑to‑end planning and delivery of Joule’s core events, ensuring each experience is high‑quality, well‑run, and aligned with Joule’s brand and community goals.
• Manage timelines, logistics, and vendors: Develop and maintain detailed event timelines, coordinate all logistics (venue, catering, AV, materials), and manage vendor relationships from sourcing through execution.
