The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth, timely, and cost-effective importation of goods and services required for both direct and indirect procurement. This position requires strong knowledge of customs clearance processes, import regulations, and international trade practices. The role involves close coordination with internal teams, clearing agents, shipping lines, banks, and suppliers to ensure that all materials are cleared and delivered within approved timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Build strategic relationships with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and Banks to ensure priority handling and reliability.
Analyze logistics cost structures to identify long-term savings and efficiency improvements
Ensure compliance with evolving trade policies to avoid penalties and disruptions.
