Experienced Baker

Austin Baking Co is seeking an experienced Baker to join our team at our Newstead production location. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, producing, baking, decorating, and finishing a variety of bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, and other flour-based products to meet daily production needs and quality standards. Key Responsibilities The successful applicant will be required to: Prepare and produce bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, and other flour-based products according to recipes, production schedules, and business standards. Measure, mix, knead, mould, shape, cut, and prove doughs and mixtures using proper baking methods. Operate commercial ovens, mixers, proofers, dough sheeters, moulders, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor baking times, temperatures, product colour, texture, size, shape, and overall quality. Prepare fillings, icings, glazes, toppings, and decorations for pastry and cake products.
