Empower nursing students at Vancouver Island University as a Practical Nursing Instructor. Start teaching in 2026/2027 at either the Nanaimo or tiwšɛmawtxʷ campus, engaging in diverse learning environments.
The Faculty of Health Sciences and Human Services is searching for passionate nursing instructors to teach and mentor nursing students effectively. In this role, participants will engage in lectures, laboratory sessions, and practical skills training while also working collaboratively with other faculty members and contributing to program enhancements. Instructional advising is a key component of this position as you guide future nurses on their educational journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare class materials and deliver lessons effectively
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
• Facilitate integration of theoretical concepts in practice
• Participate in faculty and departmental activities
• Assist in program-related administrative tasks
