Eye Refractionist

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform objective and subjective eye refraction to assess visual acuity
• Identify refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia)
• Operate refraction equipment accurately (auto-refractometer, phoropter, retinoscope)
• Record and maintain precise patient examination data
• Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations and diagnostics
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and adherence to clinical protocols

Qualification Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Optometry, Ophthalmic Technology, or a related field
• Valid registration/licensure (where applicable)
• Relevant clinical experience in eye refraction or ophthalmology setup preferred
• Knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and basic eye care procedures
• Good communication skills and patient-handling ability
