EYP & PYP Coordinator - Roles and Responsibilities

1. Programme Leadership

Lead the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme from Early Years (ages 3-6) through Grade 5/6

Ensure continuity and progression of learning from play-based inquiry in EYP to concept-driven inquiry in PYP

Promote a shared understanding of IB philosophy, learner profile, ATL, agency, and action across all grades

2. Curriculum & Planning

Design, review, and refine the Programme of Inquiry (POI)

Support teachers in developing high-quality unit planners (EYP & PYP)

Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum

Guide inquiry that is:

Play-based and developmentally appropriate in EYP

Transdisciplinary and concept-based in PYP
