Fabricator/Fitter

Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience as a steel fabricator or fitter.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and fabrication sequences.
• Lay out, mark, and cut steel materials using shears. cutting torches, and plasma cutters.
• Align, position, and fit metal components together using tack welding, clamps, and bolts for final welding.
• Weld components using MIG, TIG, or stick processes, and use grinders to smooth edges and finish surfaces.
• Safely operate heavy machinery such as brake presses, drills, and overhead cranes.
• Inspect fabricated parts for accuracy against specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace and adhere to all OSHA or safety regulations.
