Position Details

The Department of Geography & Environment at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a continuing appointment at the rank of Instructor II or III to commence on July 1, 2026, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $59,606 – $75,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.


We are seeking a broadly trained Geographer with strong spatial analytical skills and experience in the geosciences, including GIS, remote sensing, mapping, and spatial modelling. The successful candidate must have a degree at the Master’s level or higher and be able to teach classes that involve practical and hands-on training in geospatial techniques, current geographical technological-computational skills, lab-based scientific procedures, and physical geography field equipment.
