Northern Health is urgently seeking locum physicians to work in the Chetwynd Hospital & Health Centre Emergency Department in Chetwynd, British Columbia. Locums can cover clinic and/or emergency department. ER shifts are 24 hours ). You can expect to see an average of 20 patients in a 24‑hour shift.

Must have current, formal ER practice. Formal ER practice means you have worked a minimum of 320 hours in the last 2 years between ER and primary care, with at least 160 hours per year averaged over the two years in formal ER coverage.

The clinic operates with Inter‑Professional Teams (IPT) including Mental Health & Addictions, Community Nursing and Public Health, and has a touch‑down space for visiting specialties such as Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, etc. This primary care model focuses on patient‑centred, accessible, coordinated, comprehensive and continuous care with a focus on quality improvement and patient safety.
